No Sunday Practices During the Summer
There will be no practices on Sunday, effective immediately, through the end of the summer season. So this means there will be no practice this Sunday, June 22.
 
With the exception of Sundays, swimmers will remain on their current practice schedules through Monday, June 30.
 
The new summer practice schedule begins on Tuesday, July 1, and remains in effect through the rest of the summer. (See below for the new schedule.)
 
Morning practices for the Junior 1, Junior 2, Senior and National groups begin on Tuesday, June 24. They will take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6 to 8 a.m. in the long-course (meter) pool at the Cedardale Athletic Club in the Bradford section of Haverhill. These practices are optional for the Junior 1, Junior 2 and Senior swimmers. They are mandatory for swimmers in the National group.
 
 
New Summer Practice Schedule Begins on July 1
The ANA Hurricanes will begin their summer practice schedule on Tuesday, July 1. The schedule, which will be in effect for the summer season, is as follows:
 
Tidal Waves
Tuesday: 5:40 to 7 p.m., ANA YMCA
Thursday: 5:40 to 7 p.m., ANA YMCA
Saturday: 4 to 5 p.m., ANA YMCA
 
Typhoons
Tuesday: 5:40 to 7 p.m., ANA YMCA
Thursday: 5:40 to 7 p.m., ANA YMCA
Saturday: 4 to 5 p.m., ANA YMCA
 
Monsoons
Monday: 5:40 to 6:40 p.m., ANA YMCA
Tuesday: 5 to 6 p.m., Lawrence YMCA
Thursday: 5 to 6 p.m., Lawrence YMCA
Friday: 5:40 to 6:40 p.m., ANA YMCA
Saturday: 3:30 to 5 p.m., ANA YMCA
 
Age Group
Monday: 6:40 to 7:40 p.m., ANA YMCA
Tuesday: 7 to 8:20 p.m., ANA YMCA

Notes from the Head Coach
Dear ANA Hurricanes Families,
 
Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time and energy last weekend at the Hurricane Sprints at UConn. As your meet director, Sean Doyle, has already reported, the meet was a great success, and many of our swimmers achieved best times in their races.

If you want to post something in this section of the Hurricane Watch, please include in your e-mail to Karen Bailey (karen.bailey@tufts.edu) a description of the lost item(s), the owner’s name and contact e-mail and phone number and the date and place it was lost.
 
When your item has been found, please e-mail Karen so she can remove it from the “Lost and Found” list.
 
Here’s what’s lost:
Talia Shuman lost an ANA HURRICANES towel in the girls’ locker room at the University of Connecticut on Sunday, June 15. It has no name on it, but does have a very large purple smiley face on the tag. If you picked it up, please email Talia at Taliagirl24@aol.com or call 978-475-6016.
