Dan Reilly
- Head Coach
Nationals and Seniors

Bio: Dan Reilly joined the team as Head Coach in September 2006. Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Dan was head coach for the South Shore YMCA Stryper’s Mill Pond Branch. During his tenure with the Strypers, Dan coached many of their top-flight swimmers in both USA Swimming and YMCA competition, including several USA Swimming New England Age Group individual championships and the 2002 long course 11-12 girls 400 meter free relay championship, which was a national top 16 swim. Dan was the head coach for the Stryper National Team at the YMCA Long Course Summer National Meet in 2005 and 2006. He took 19 swimmers to the 2006 national meet, where they achieved 35 best times in individual events and four best times in relays. Dan’s swimmers have won seven Eastern Massachusetts YMCA district age group championships as well as championships at the YMCA New England meet and YMCA East Field Regional Championships. Dan has also coached several YMCA All-American swimmers.

Dan is a Level 3 American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA)-certified coach, and has qualified and is completing his ASCA Level 4 certification. Dan also has worked as the head coach at Weymouth High School, North Quincy High School and Archbishop Williams. He was head coach of the Southeast/Coastal Team, which came in second at the 2006 Bay State Games. He is certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid and American Red Cross CPR.

A Massachusetts-certified general science teacher for grades 6-12, Dan earned his B.S. degree in human physiology in 1996 from Boston University, where he also was an instructor in the Department of Physical Education. He has taught high school physical science in the Hanover Public Schools and high school biology in the West Bridgewater Public Schools.

Erin Cammann

Tidal Waves & Typhoons

Bio: Erin Cammann joined the team in 2001 as an assistant coach and focuses on developing our youngest swimmers. Erin has been swimming or coaching swimming for 13 years and has two children who swim for the team as well. Erin also swims for the Andover / North Andover Masters Swim Team. 

Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Erin was the Masters Swim Coach at the SoCal Aquatic Club in Los Angeles, California from 1999-2001. She was also an Age Group Coach from 1996-1999 with Team Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California.

Erin has a Masters in Journalism from Northwestern University, and a B.A. in History from Yale University where she was a member of the varsity swim and volleyball teams.

Tony Sakakeeny

Junior 1

Bio: Tony Sakakeeny was an assistant coach with the ANA Hurricanes from 2001 to 2003, and worked as an assistant coach with the Central Catholic High School team. He also served as the head coach of the Salem YMCA swim team.

Joleen MacDonald

Seniors and Junior 2

Bio: Joleen MacDonald has worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for five years. She swam at the Melrose YMCA, the Burbank YMCA and at the North Suburban YMCA.
