Hurricanes Tryouts
Monday, August 16 – Friday, August
20th
The Hurricanes will be holding open tryouts at the
Andover/ North Andover YMCA (165 Haverhill Street, Andover MA
01810) for the upcoming Fall/Winter Season.
Swimmers age 6-18 are welcome to
tryout.
8 and under
swimmers – skills used in
evaluation will include: swimming the length of the pool (25 yards)
on front and back, kicking, diving and following
directions.
Swimmers 9 and
over – skills used in
evaluation will include: knowledge of the 4 competitive strokes,
starts, turns and kicking.
Senior (High School)
swimmers – evaluation will
include a review of best times, training history and interview with
the head coach.

Schedule
Monday 6:45-7:15pm – (8 years old and under);
7:15-7:45pm – (9-10 years)
Tuesday 6:45-7:15pm – (11-12 years); 7:15-7:45pm
– (13 and over)
Wednesday 6:45-7:15pm (8 years and under); 7:15-7:45pm
(9-10 years)
Thursday 6:45-7:15pm – (11-12 years); 7:15-7:45pm
(13 and over)
Friday 6:45-7:45pm (open)
